For Users

New

• Content Share Action Cards let you share images, videos, and links to other platforms using other apps on your phone!

Fixed

• During Voter Registration, the contact script picker was opening instead of providing the standard Voter Reg script for messages and emails. This has been fixed.

For Admins

New

• We have now introduced a whole new section of the admin interface for our upcoming Content Sharing features. The new “Content Library” section in your sidebar includes the following screens:
  • Assets
  • Galleries
  • Labels
  • Feedback
• The old “Social Share” Action Card type has been retired and replaced by the new “Content Share” Action Card Type. Use the Assets screen to make Link, Image, or Video assets, then use the Action Cards screen to make a Content Sharing Action Card which uses the asset.

For Users

New

• Image attachments on Contact Scripts and Network Contact Action Cards. You will see previews of attached images in the script previews and you can tap them to zoom in on them. Then, when you text or email the script, the image will be automatically included in your message. If you choose to share the message using another app, you’ll get a helpful guide so you can copy the message text first and paste it in the image sharing flow of that other app.
• Voter Registration pipelines are now supported in: AK, AR, DC, DE, HI, KS, MS, SC, SD, UT, VT, WV, and WY.

Improved

• We’ve made the Add Person form look a little neater.
• You will now see the Contact Script Picker even if there is only one contact script of that type on your campaign.

Fixed

• Sometimes on the web app, if you refreshed the browser on the Home screen, it would quickly flash between the Feed tab and the Completed tab.
• We’ve made the overlays behind our modals more consistently colored.

For Admins

New

• For those who use the Reach API, there is a new endpoint that will let you invite users to your campaign. More here.

Fixed

• Some of the filters around admin screens were not making the correct options available to you, especially for user names.
• We have adjusted the language in the Feature Block about My Network to more accurately reflect current features.

For Users

New

• File Upload Action Cards! We have created a new “File Upload” Call to Action button type. When a user taps this button, they will get a way to upload a file or image, or take an image with their phone camera. They will also get a way to include a comment/note with the file upload. Images are required with this type of submission. We’re excited about the countless use cases this has including asking supporters to submit pictures of themselves for postcards and collecting testimonials!
• For campaigns which support multiple Relationship Types, you can now edit the type of relationship you have with someone in your Network without having to delete the relationship and re-add it. On the person screen, where you used to see a Delete button next to the Relationship Type, you will now see a pencil button. When you tap on it, we now open a new action sheet at the bottom with an option for “Remove Bran from your Network” and “Change Relationship Type”.

Improved

• When you’re saving changes to your user profile, Reach will now show a cute loading animation.
• On Android, when you’re uploading a new profile pic or a chat channel image, we’ll help you crop it to the square shape it needs to be.

Fixed

• On web, the enter key will work more reliably while you’re uploading images to Reach.
• On web, if your browser window is very short, the bottom of the User menu will no longer be cut off.
• In rare instances, deep links into the Reach app were crashing.

For Admins

New

• You now have the ability to create and edit File Upload Action Cards.

Improved

• Filters on the Users Admin screen are now more reliable for campaigns with many user groups and invite codes. They are also named better.

For Users

Improved

• We have removed the option to add someone to your Network from the expanded Person Screen preview within Contact Import. This was making for a confusing experience where you were being asked to import a contact you had already added to your Network. Now, if you want to add someone to your Network, close the preview screen and import them like every other contact.

Fixed

• Some links within text blocks had been positioned incorrectly on some Android devices. Now all links behave more consistently on Android and Web and look better. On iOS, the links will more consistently change color when you tap on them.
• If the keyboard is up when a user opens the user drawer or campaign drawer, it will close.
• In some cases, when you closed the User Profile Editing screen while editing an address, Reach would crash. This is fixed! Edit your address to your heart’s content.

For Admins

New

• Tag Prioritization and Ordering! Campaigns can now add a numbered priority to control the order that tags appear for their users throughout the app. Tags without a priority set will be sorted by type and then alphabetically.
• Campaigns can set default metrics/timespans for rankings. These defaults will be used the first time a new user on your campaign visits the Rankings screen. Once a user has customized their settings, Reach will remember those settings for that user. If you want to make sure a user gets to the Rankings Screen with specific settings, try an Internal Link Action Card.

Improved

• Maintain State better across Admin Screens Everything you toggle, adjust, filter, sort, and change in Admin screens is maintained per campaign as long as you’re using the same web browser.

Fixed

• Generating Exports from the Admin Exports screen was resulting in a “Something went wrong” message in Firefox. 
• In Admin, refreshing on the users screen no longer causes a crash screen in certain cases.
• The toggle to show and hide live chat under the Help menu is now more consistent and reliable. We can’t wait to talk to you!

For Users

Improved

• You are now encouraged to add your full address when signing up for Reach. This helps your campaign better understand where you’re Reaching from. We have added fields for Address Line 1, Address Line 2, City, and State on the User Account Creation screen and the User Account Edit screens in addition to the existing Zip Code field. Google Places will also auto-complete allowing you to start to enter your address and see automatic suggestions which will fill the rest of the fields. 
• Changed language from “Type to Filter” to “Type to Search” throughout the app.
• On the question choice picker screen for multi-many and multi-one questions we changed the close “X” button to a Done button.
• Improved language on the My Reach sorting drop-down to get more specific about how you’ve sorted your Network.
• Automatic square cropping for profile pic uploads on web.
• The “Type to Search” bar on the top of the network screen and network contact action cards is now always visible and will not scroll out of view as you scroll down your list.

Fixed

• Social Media Share cards without a script are working again.

For Admins

New

• Automatic square cropping for campaign/organization square logos.

For Users

Improved

• We had added section dividers on the various Filter screens throughout the app to make it easier to use those screens.
• We have re-labeled the Filter and Refine buttons to “Filters & Prefs” to make it a bit more clear that they allow access to more than just Filters.

Fixed

• On web, giphy embeds in chat were sometimes missing their shuffle/send buttons.
• Tapping on an @ mentioned name in chat no longer seems misleadingly interactive on iOS.

For Admins

New

• Charts and Graphs! The Admin Dashboard has been redesigned to include a new top section showing you some lovely data visualizations of the work happening in your campaign. You can even adjust the timespan and filter some of the graphs to make them useful to you!

Fixed

• In Campaign Keys Admin, it is now easier to see everything at the bottom of the side bar when you scroll down on small windows.

For Users

New

• Import Relationships. You can now import relationships into your Network from other campaigns you are a member of.
• The screen you see when your Network is empty is now much more helpful and descriptive.
• When using a Network Contact Action Card, you will now have an option for Marking someone as Contacted outside of Reach.

Improved

• When you have un-saved survey responses, you will now be unable to switch away from the Survey Questions screen.
• The titles of the various contact import screens are now distinct so it’s easier to understand which step of the process you’re on.
• When your search returns no results, if you have Search filters in place, we’ll remind you of that and give you an easy button to clear the filters and retry your search.
• We’ve added some headers to the Campaign Directory screen to make it a bit more clear.
• We have changed the Close button on Filter modals to a Done button to make it more clear that you won’t lose your selection when you tap it.
• We’ve added some more specific language to the Guide Box at the top of the Nickname editing screen to help encourage users who are correcting deadnames to do so by editing the voter’s name, not adding a nickname.

Fixed

• There was some bad text wrapping in the header of the My Reach/Voter Registration/Filters screen on some devices.

For Admins

New

• When creating an Internal Link Action Card to the Rankings screen, you can now specify the timespan and metric you’d like selected when the user gets there.

Fixed

• The icons were missing for cancelled exports in your export history.
• There were some formatting bugs in Invite User Settings.

For Users

Improved

• When you’re using a Network Contact Action Card and you contact someone, their Send button will now turn into a green check mark, rather than just changing color as it previously did.

For Admins

New

• When inviting a new user to your campaign, you can now specify an email address and have Reach send an email to the new user, letting them know they’ve been added.
• You can now customize the default Invite User script that your users will be encouraged to send to other users they invite.

Fixed

• There were some styling problems in Survey Questions Admin.

For Users

New

• When you’re working with Reach support, there is now an option to send us your logs to help with troubleshooting.

Improved

• On the Search Results screen, the Refine button is now easier to tap.

Fixed

• On the Person Screen, if there is no address, we will not show a Household count.
• On the Network Screen, it is now possible to select multiple Relationship Types to filter by on the Quick Filter bar.
• Resizing your browser window in Safari and Mobile Safari sometimes led to a crash.

For Admins

New

• When removing a user from your campaign, you can now choose to block them as well so they cannot rejoin your campaign with the same account.

Fixed

• There was a bug preventing some users from uploading Campaign Logos.

For Users

New

• You can now search a chat channel! Just tap the Chat Info button in the header of any chat channel and you’ll see a new Search button.
• You can now send a link to a more specific version of the Rankings screen, including the timespan and metric you’re looking at.

Improved

• When creating your account, you can now just check a box saying you agree with the Reach Terms of Use and you no longer will see the terms on their own screen unless you click a link.
• After a contact action, the transition will now be smoother.
• Clearer labeling of “Reach Add” buttons as being about Voter Registration when that feature is enabled.

Fixed

• We have improved the “Last Reached On” sorting on Network Contact Action Cards so the people you contact will more reliably drop to the bottom of the list.
• There were some issues selecting text on web.

For Admins

New

• It is now possible to view and edit User Group visibility settings from the Question Set editing screen.
